Screen Print on Clay
A one day workshop with Jane Crick
Wednesday 24 March 2010 - 10.00am to 4.00pm
This workshop is a repeat of that held on Sunday 21 March 2010
The decoration of ceramic items by various means of printing has
recently been enjoying a renewed popularity. Silk screen printing is just one of
many possible techniques.
This workshop, which is suitable for clayworkers of all levels of experience
from beginner to more advanced, will give participants the opportunity to make
their own silk screen to keep. Suitable types of printing mediums will be
discussed and recipes for mediums will be available. Various ways to use the
screen will be demonstrated and there will be time for participants to
experiment.
A standard postcard-sized (10cm x 15cm) photocopied image is needed to make the
screen; participants may bring their own photocopied image or may use one from a
variety which will be available. Screens can also be produced from images
hand-drawn with a carbon pen (which will be available for use at the workshop)
for those people who particularly wish to use an original art work.
N. B. There is not a photocopier at the studio.
The cost of this workshop is $88.00.
The fee includes materials for screen and mediums, clay and lunch.
Bookings are essential.
Payment should be made in advance by cheque or money order made payable to Jane
Crick and posted to 26 Glynn Place, Hughes, ACT 2605. Payment may only be made
